Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay Cruising (Lunch & Dinner included)

7h30-08h00:  Take a 3,5 hours scenic drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay by Shuttle Bus

12h00-12h30 Arrive in Halong Tourist Wharf. Transfer to Halong Emotion Boat by tender

12h30: Welcome cocktail on the boat and check in to your private cabin.

13h15-14h15 : Vietnamese lunch served on board, during cruising toward Ha Long bay.

14h30: Visit the Ba Hang floating fishing village by Sampan.

16h00: Cooking class by chef cook of the Emotion Boat on the sundeck.
17h30: Visit the Pearl tourist village in Ha Long bay. Available activities as:

    See view on sundeck, relaxing in restaurant.
    Kayaking
    See and visit  the daily life of local people
    Or requested activities such as: Massage service ( you made contact with tour guide or reception).

18h45: Stop in row of coconut trees area for overnight.

19h30: Have buffet dinner with seafood provided by Ba Hang fishing village.

20h00-24h00: Freely enjoying the beauty of Ha long at night, join us with one of the optional activities:

Day 2: Cruising in Bai Tu Long Bay and back to Hanoi (Breakfast & Lunch included)
6h30: Practice Tai Chi on the Sundeck.

7h00-7h30: Start your day with a light breakfast.

7h30: Arrive in Surprise cave, explore the Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Ha Long bay.

9:15: Check out and take all luggage outside of your cabin, cruise back to the Tourist Wharf through Ha Long bay.
9h45. Have  brunch and clear bills.

11.30. Back to the Tourist Wharf.
12.00: Departure to Hanoi

16.00: Arrival in Hanoi, end of tour at your hotel. Good bye & See you again!

Colourful Halong Bay Inauguration celebrations Hanoi

In a three-hour ceremony, punctuated by spectacular firework displays, Halong Bay was officially inaugurated as one of the New7Wonders of Nature in Hanoi last night. Addressing the public in My Dinh National Stadium, Bernard Weber, Founder-President of New7Wonders said, “The success of the New7Wonders of Nature campaign was due to the active participation of the people all around the world.” He added that the goal of New7Wonders was inspire and motivate the active participation  in concepts that everyone could understand, and ideas that have real and lasting value.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan thanked the Vietnamese at home and abroad, who had voted for Halong Bay during the four-year campaign. “I also hope that local authorities and government agencies will increase their efforts to preserve the natural values of the bay in the near future,” he said.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a specially-cast commemorative plaque recognizing Halong Bay as one of the New7Wonders of Nature. In the presence of Hoang Tuan Anhb, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism, and Nguyen Van Doc, chairman of Quang Ninh Province’s People’s Committee, Bernard Weber removed the veil with a flourish.

The unveiling was followed by a performance in which the stadium was transformed into a miniature version of Halong Bay with water, mountains and boats. With the theme of the dragons of Vietnam, which came down to earth and were turned into stone in the bay, singers, dancers and musicians portrayed the history and culture of the region and sites such as the citadel of the Ho Dynasty, the My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An City. The show also featured aspects of Vietnam’s ancient heritage, including Nha nhac (court music of Hue), the gongs of the Central Highlands and the songs of Phu Tho Xoan.

Halong Bay benefits from the New7Wonders effect: surge in cruise visitor numbers at Vietnamese site

Vietnam’s Halong Bay, which was officially inaugurated as one of the New7Wonders of Nature at the beginning of May, has seen a considerable rise in the number of international cruise travelers during the first five months of this year. According to the Pattaya Daily News, statistics provided by Quang Ninh Province, the home of Halong Bay, showed that 30,000 cruise-ship passengers visited the natural wonder since the beginning of 2012, a 22 percent increase on than same period last year. Among the popular cruise ships visiting the region are the Super Star Aquarius (Malaysia), the Princess Daphne (Australia), the Pacific Venus (Japan) and the Voyages of Discovery (UK)

Under the heading, “Massive rising in number of international cruise travelers to Halong Bay in the first 5 months of 2012“, the Pattaya Daily News noted that, “Halong Bay has become a preferred visiting destination for a huge number of international cruises in recent year. The reason is that the bay possesses and ideal location which is close to numerous crucial markets for cruise trips in Asia, including China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. Also, being continuously recognized by international travelers with various awards such as ‘New 7 Wonders of Nature’.”.
